About Calistoga Ranch...Cradled among the pines and oaks of Napa Valley, Calistoga Ranch is an airy boutique resort seamlessly woven into the forest. This is wine-country, and the Ranch has got the vineyard to prove it. Vintners from all around the area come to Calistoga throughout the year, the restaurant wine list’s long enough to wallpaper a living room, and the mineral spa even offers to soak you in the stuff. So, if you’ve a taste for the great grape, you may have found the perfect retreat.
All the lodges are freestanding wooden bungalows with outdoor fireplaces. We love the one-bedroom lodges with outdoor Jacuzzis, where you can bubble away under the starlit oak canopy, sipping cocktails from your wet bar.
Facilities Heated outdoor pool, vineyard, gardens, spa, gym, shops, library, free WiFi. In rooms: LCD TV, DVD/CD player, iPod dock, indoor-outdoor fireplace, alfresco shower, free minibar.
Poolside Crisp white sun-loungers fringe the heated outdoor pool, where you can soak in both the warming waters and the stunning scenery – a dramatic backdrop of the vineyard, the oak groves and the majestic Mayacama mountains.
Children Under-12s stay free. There’s a charge of US$100 for each extra person under 18 in rooms; lodge living rooms have pull-out sofa beds.
Also Furry friends are welcome, for a one-off fee of US$125, but they must remain on leads at all times. Calistoga Ranch can provide dog beds and food/water bowls. No smoking throughout.
Hotel Restaurant The bright, open-beam Lakehouse restaurant creates fresh Californian cuisine, all locally sourced and painstakingly engineered to complement the voluminous wine list.
