About Geyser Peak Winery...Geyser Peak Winery's long heritage of winemaking and roots in Alexander Valley runs deep. Founded in 1880 by Augustus Quitzow, one of Sonoma County's pioneer winemakers, the original winery was built in Geyserville in 1882. The winery claimed a "view of the clouds" as white steam billowed from the thermal geysers at the mountain's summit.
Our winemaking tradition at Geyser Peak has been to make the best wines possible. We combine traditional practices with New World innovations. Over the years we have sought out new techniques and wine making processes, tested, evaluated and adjusted our craft to perfect wines from the highest quality grape sources in Alexander Valley.
Today, Geyser Peak Winery is still one of the most award-winning wineries in Sonoma County. We boast panoramic views of the Valley from our expansive picnic patios in a garden-like setting. We invite you to visit and experience Geyser Peak first hand.
