About Luna Vineyards...When co-founders George Vare and Mike Moone first laid eyes on the Luna property in 1995, they instantly recognized the magic, and the amazing potential, of its estate vineyards. Plus, it was perfectly located along the Silverado Trail. So they bought the property and followed their dream, building a winery that paid tribute to the varietals that set Napa Valley apart....Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese.
Using our organic farming methods that sustain the rich and biodiverse ecosystem of our Estate Vineyard, we believe that the most important part of winemaking actually happens in the vineyard.
Today our story continues with the more recent additions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, extending our passion for making great wines, made truly great by our exceptional vineyard sites, our natural fermentation methods, and a minimum of intervention in the cellar. It’s all contributed to the critical acclaim we continue to receive for our artisanal family of wines. Here's to years of enjoyment—past, present, future. |
