We are proud to share the unique Inglenook Heritage with you, offering daily tours, seated tastings, and specialty experiences. We recommend advanced reservations for all guest experiences and are happy to accommodate private groups both large and small.
The Inglenook legacy began in 1879, when Gustav Niebaum, a Finnish sea captain, wine connoisseur, and entrepreneur, came to Rutherford to build a wine estate that would rival Europe's finest. When Niebaum's grandnephew, John Daniel Jr. inherited the chateau and vineyards in the 1930's, Inglenook had already earned international acclaim, which was made legendary by the famed 1941 vintage.Francis and Eleanor Coppola purchased the property in 1975 and have spent forty years reuniting the original vineyards, returning winemaking operations to the chateau, and restoring Inglenook's illustrious heritage with the help of renowned wine consultant Stephane Derenoncour and Manager Director and Winemaker, Philippe Bascaules. In honor of this estate and its historical significance, we have restored the name Inglenook.
One of the best winery’s in the valley with extremely knowledgeable personal
I fell in love with Inglenook during my first visit and it is still my favorite place to stop during any visit to or through northern California! I've been a member since that first visit in 2013 and returned with friends and family numerous times! Love it!!
Love the history and the story! Beautiful estate, the Coppola's did an amazing job restoring the authenticity of this winery! Best Syrah I've had. Rubicon cab is amazing! Left here buying 6 bottles, and our friends joined the wine club. Cant wait to visit again!
Amazing, Beautiful, Spectacular, and Devine. The view, the staff the smell the taste, was all worth while.
Our tour guide Anthony was amazing!
We felt Inglenook was an outstanding experience with the facility being the best in Napa. We felt our tour leader was very knowledgable re: the business ..and history..and the wine tasting was superb.
We would absolutely recommend this winery to our friends and relatives...
Inglenook is not too be missed if you are visiting Napa. It is one of the most gorgeous vineyards in Napa. Its beauty is only eclipsed by the unbelievable quality and taste of their Rubicon Cabernet. Don't miss the opportunitty to make a reservation and enjoy the best of Napa Valley.
This was an old world style of a visit to Inglenook. Some real history and charm to this place in a beautiful setting back from the valley road.
Clearly big investment too over recent years which is making a big difference and the wines were excellent.....very elegant style for Napa which I found refreshing.
We arrived expecting a fantastic tour as we have heard about all the history at Inglenook. The tour was OK as we visited the basics at the winery. We really enjoyed the wine/cheese tasting at the end of the tour. Great wines with excellent cheese pairings. We would of loved to get upstairs to where there is more history about the winery. The Estate is beautiful and maintained very well.
It was amazing from the time we entered and the time we left Anthony our tour guide was very professional and has a sense of humor to go along with him
Greeted by smiling staff and given wine to start the tour! Our host was knowledgeable and told great stories of the history of the property and how it became what it is today. A great tour for history lovers!
The experience was marvelous and I would like to come back other times.
Fantastic. Loved this experience. Grounds are gorgeous. Tour is in-depth and full of history, information on wine making, and interesting stories. Really lovely wines are poured. Host was very gracious. Would come back to this tour again.
The ambiance was amazing from outside looking out over the vineyards to inside each room with it's story all beautiful and so interesting. Then we had the privilege of tasting some amazing wines. What a fun experience!
The place , The chateau and The staff were fantastic. All The wines that we tasted were simply special.
Inglenook is a stunningly beautiful property. The tour was excellent, our guide was charming and incredibly knowledgeable, and the wine is some of the best I've had in Napa Valley. Would highly recommend Inglenook and the Inglenook Experience tour to anyone.
Great tour guide who brought out the story of the property and the wine.
This is not the Inglenook wine I remember from when I first started drinking wine. This Inglenook is very good wine. The tour was great, especially to learn more about this Inglenook and its history.
Highly recommend the Inglenook Experience tour. Everyone in our group loved it. Rare treat to have a sommelier give the tour/tasting. This winery is impressive, gorgeous! Nice cheese parring with their wines. Best tasting of our trip!
Very interesting. More Disneyland than the rest. But a lot of $ was spent on the place and one-off so worth a visit if you’ve marked your favorites off the list. They do not sell to stores or restaurants but have a TON of inventory (aging). Can not grasp how such a newer wine has so much word of mouth sales, seems odd. Wine was just OK.
Awesome experience! Wine, Tour, grounds and people.
Excellent wine, amazing shopping, excellent service. Take the extra time to take the tour and experience the family’s passion for wine making in Napa.
Beautiful winery, excellent tour guide. We had a great experience and the wines are amazing.
I would recommend all to come to this Vineyard. The grounds are breathtaking, service was so friendly and knowledgeable. The wine was also amazing. This was our first winery we visited and it set the standard high. We will be returning soon!
We had a wonderful tour and tasting experience.
Didnt like the tour guide. he is hard to understand.
during the tasting, he left all the time. And Rubicon was not decanted. Thats bad.
Very elegant tasting and tour. The winery is rich with history and the tasting experience was excellent.
What an amazing experience for my group! We enjoyed learning the history of Inglenook, experiencing the walk around the grounds and tasting the delicious wines. Our guide Sebastian was informed and entertaining. The best winery of the day!!
the most amazing tour! Winery was beautiful but our Tour guide anthony was amazing. The story of the property and the winery is so wonderful. We really enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to anyone! In fact we would definitely go back!
Exceptional all around!
exceptional in all ways
The history, beauty and amazing wine made a perfect visit! I would highly recommend the tour.
Absolutely beautiful setting. I felt transported to France. Would schedule more time during our next visit to enjoy an espresso and pastry after the tasting.
I live in the Napa Valley and I need major justification to spend a few extra dollars for "upscale" wine tours and tasting. On this occasion, I'm glad I did. Having visited Inglenook many, many years ago while under corporate ownership, I was delighted by the current experiences of the beautiful venue and much improved wine. The tour was interesting and the cheese/wine pairings were excellent.
Loved the experience - history, a beautiful setting, really good wine and our mustachioed tour guide!
Beautiful property with plenty of interesting memorabilia inside. Fun and informative tour with a history of the winery. Very nice seated tasting experience with cheese pairing in a wonderful room. Everyone, including Dave the tour guide, was enjoying it so much, our 1-1/2 hour experience lasted 2 hours!
Our guide, David, was from Spain and training as a Sommelier. He was very knowledgeable and an excellent host
A place to come and stay a while, in the Cafe.
One of the most gorgeous properties in the Valley and an experience like no other. The wine is also excellent.
