Calling All Wine Lovers, It's Passport Season!
Time to start planning your spring wine adventures...
February, the month of love has arrived and has most of us giddy with romantic thoughts, plotting ways to spoil our favorite people with love and of course day dreaming of spring days ahead. While it may still be winter, nature is beginning to reveal glimpses of spring with bright green leaves of bulbs beginning to peek out from the depths below, tiny little buds emerge on barren branches, and wine passport weekends are popping up all over.
It's time to plan your spring wine adventures. Passport events are a fun way to explore wineries in a particular region. Passport events often have a theme and can be quite festive with wineries getting into the spirit with unique pairings, tasting experiences, live music and more. There are barrel weekend passports where all wines sampled are pulled straight from the barrel. While other passports might focus on a specific varietal such as Pinot Noir. Regardless, one of the defining aspects of a passport event is that attendees get to visit a variety of wineries/tasting rooms over the course of the event with just one ticket.
