Peak season is around the corner, and we can’t wait for the annual WA Brewers Festival this June.
I don’t know about you but I’m a little bit giddy about this June’s upcoming Washington State Brewers festival. As most of the local’s and hop heads know this event is huge and is one not to miss. Annually held every year over Father’s Day in Redmond, you can normally count on almost a hundred of the most popular brewers across the state to be in attendance pouring none other than their latest craft beer selections.
With that many artisans on hand it’s no wonder the festival is held over three days. If you are a true connoisseur of the liquid gold, brown and black suds then I highly recommend attending on Friday night as it is a 21+ only party where all the beer geeks will be. I should warn you though tickets usually sell out quickly.
The reason Friday night is so wildly popular is that most of the brewers have secret stashes under the table. They know the true enthusiast gets a babysitter, calls an uber and shows up early.
Another thing to consider is the festival is not a free for all. Tokens are provided with a tasting glass upon entry and usually there is an option to purchase a few more tokens but not so much that liability becomes an issue.
My favorite part – people wearing pretzel snack necklaces. I love the die-hard enthusiast that comes prepared and has their uber driver on speed dial! See ya there!
